What is Polestar Engineered?
Polestar Engineered is an exclusive collaboration between Volvo and Polestar. Polestar engineers and race experienced test drivers develop and optimize Volvo cars so they can provide the best in terms of experience at the wheels. The collaboration ranges from limited edition models to software optimizations for almost all Volvo cars.
What’s the difference between the T8 engine and the Polestar Engineered engine?
While the XC60 receives plenty of power and torque in its top T8 model, the Polestar Engineered variant gets a boost only the experienced engineers at Polestar can provide. The T8 eAWD Plug-in Hybrid uses the same engine as the T6 but adds a powerful and highly efficient electric motor and battery pack. Combined, they provide 400 hp and 472 lb-ft.
The XC60 Polestar Engineered gets a high-output version of the plug-in hybrid powertrain that gets the Polestar calibration on every level to not only provide more power, but also a much better driving experience on all levels. It outputs 415 hp and 494 lb-ft of torque and lets the XC60 go from zero to 100 km/h in only 5.4 seconds.
