Despite a challenging retail environment all across Canada, Volvo recorded a significant increase in year over year sales. Volvo is one of the few automakers to see sales increase in July 2020 compared to the same period last year.
Volvo sales increased 22 percent overall while new vehicles sold through the retail channel increased 23 percent to 1,012 units sold. With 382 certified pre-owned units sold, Volvo Certified sales also recorded a new record for sales.
“Last month was an important milestone for Volvo Cars in Canada, as we continued to strengthen our growth position, posting our first month of year over year growth in new vehicles sales since the COVID-19 pandemic hit,” said Matt Girgis, managing director of Volvo Cars Canada. “This is a strong sign of recovery in an exceptionally challenging environment which we can attribute to the dedication of our Volvo customers, team and Retailers across the country.”
