Volvo cars offer the best balance between performance, sportiness and luxury in a uniquely stylish package that you won’t find anywhere in the industry. And thanks to years of advancements and engineering experience in the field, Volvo has developed a lineup of Recharge models that add efficiency thanks to plug-in capabilities. With Recharge models, you can travel on long distances without using fuel, limiting your impact on the environment and avoiding high fuel costs.
Here, we take a look at three features that make Volvo Recharge models stand out.
Volvo Recharge Models Offer the Best Performance
All Recharge models (except the full electric XC40 Recharge) use the state-of-the-art T8 powertrain at Volvo. It develops tremendous amounts of performance thanks to the pairing between the four-cylinder, turbocharged and supercharged T6 engine, and an advanced electric propulsion system.
This system includes a long-range battery, featuring three layers of cells for an output of 18.8 kWh, and a powerful rear electric motor that delivers 143 hp. The total output for the T8 powertrain ranks in at no less than 455 hp.
The powerful electric motor in the rear not only delivers great power, it also gives Recharge models a unique kind of AWD system called eAWD. It can perform better than its rivals at low speeds, when towing, and when driving on slippery roads that demand extra traction and stability.
Volvo Recharge Models Offer the Best Range
All electric range is important in PHEVs. That’s why Volvo’s Recharge models deliver some of the best figures in the industry in this regard. For example, Volvo S60, V60, XC60, S90, and XC90 Recharge models all deliver between 56 kilometres and 65 kilometres of range depending on the model. This is made possible by the high-output battery, but also one-pedal drive capability on XC60 and S90 models.
Volvo Recharge Models Offer Unique Scandinavian Style
There are a growing number of PHEV models out there, but only Volvo can provide the unique Scandinavian driving environment. The styling and comfort are unique to the brand and makes every drive better for the occupants. The Hybrid system in Volvo Recharge models also allows drivers to pre-heat or pre-cool the cabin remotely via the Volvo Cars app while maintaining all-electric driving range.
Volvo Recharge models are unique PHEVs that will take you and your family further thanks to ultimate performance and efficiency. Come see them today!
