Let’s face it; you’ve driven your sports sedan for years – or maybe it was a hatchback. You’ve loved the drive, how little fuel it used and just how nice it felt to slide behind the wheel.
Now, though, it’s almost 2023, the kids are getting bigger and it’s time for an upgrade. You need more space and practicality, but you don’t want to sacrifice the fun driving aspects you’ve always enjoyed. So, what to do?
Well, how about a station wagon? Better yet: how about this station wagon, the 2023 Volvo V60 Recharge? Hmm. Now that’s interesting.
After all, it’s hard to say “no” to a practical station wagon that can pack 529 litres worth of gear behind the rear seats, but also just happens to have EV power as well as supercharging and turbocharging! It’s enough to get the Polestar Engineered V60 Recharge up to 100 km/h from rest in about 4.5 seconds, courtesy of 414 horsepower and 494 pound-feet of torque, able to be sent to all four wheels because every V60 Recharge comes with AWD as standard.
Then, when it comes time to slow things down, you have up to 64 km of all-EV cruising before you have to plug in to recharge your…Recharge. Or, you can do so by activating one-pedal driving, allowing you to get the most out of regenerative braking while hardly ever touching the brake pedal.
Also standard is a different sort of tech: Google Built-in. Essentially, what this does is turn your V60 Recharge into a Google phone. You can access apps like Google Maps or Spotify, or you can have your Google Assistant do that for you with simple voice commands. The assistant can also adjust your climate control, let you know your schedule for the day and set the destination in Google Maps.
