Both are equipped with the best in terms of powertrain technologies and interior amenities that will make every trip a memorable adventure.
Here’s an overview of the new Volvo S60 and V60 have to offer.
The 2023 Volvo S60/V60 deliver top-of-the-line powertrains
The S60/V60 duo is powered by the best in terms of powertrain technologies. The new B5 engine outputs an impressive 247 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque thanks to a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine aided by mild hybrid technologies. The B6 engine uses a turbocharged and supercharged version of this four-cylinder unit, which produced a whopping 295 hp and 310 lb-ft of torque. The renowned T8 powertrain delivers incredible performance this year, thanks to a more powerful rear electric motor that delivers 143 hp mated to a new long-range battery rated at 18.8 kWh. Thanks to these improved powertrain elements, the S60 Recharge delivers 455 horsepower and 523 lb-ft of combined output.
Yet, the fuel consumption with this T8 powertrain remains very impressive considering the level of performance it provides, with 8.0 L/100 in the city and 7.2 L/100 km on the highway.
This T8 Recharge powertrain gives the S60 and V60 PHEV capabilities. The new battery pack lets drivers cover up to 64 kilometres of distance without using a single drop of fuel. Drivers can now pre-heat or pre-cool the cabin remotely via the Volvo Cars app, even when the car is not plugged in.
Ultimate versatility in the 2023 Volvo S60 and V60
For those who need maximum versatility, the S60 offers up to 427 litres of cargo volume in the trunk, while the V60 delivers 648 litres when full of passengers, and 1,431 litres when the seatbacks are folded.
The Volvo V60 is also available in Cross Country configurations, which gives it rugged elements like body cladding and a better ground clearance.
